Hi,
I am having the worst time trying to get my starter rebuilt for my UB. Was at a threshing bee and the U on display looked identical. Been really getting the run around for parts, id #'s, prices, etc Any help would really be appreciated. Thanks

IF you're close to Illinois/Wisconsin/Lake Michigan, go to Maxim in Burlington, WI, they are VERY knowlegable and have a GREAT stock of parts. OLD STUFF is their pleasure, not their specialty, they do a good job on everything.

the UB,s were 12 volt and used a different drive and drive end housing. Believe the late 12v u,s and G,s were the same. Been there had that problem.

I take all of my starters to a old-timer here in Phoenix for repair and he has not let me down yet. The place is called "Phoenix Generator Exchange". If you can not find them in the online yellow pages, I will do a little digging for you (if you are interested). They have done 3-4 starters from me with nothing but fantastic results.

It has just been crazy trying to get straight answers on this deal and I live 50 miles from minneapolis. Yes I am interested.

I'll look into it on the net. But if you have any leads I'll take them

I had a U starter rebuilt to use on a UB SPECIAL but it would not fit.I think it is because of the diffirent clutch and flywheel. Sorry no leads on starter. There is a complete UB tractor for sale here locally.I dont have a price.
