A friend of mine has just bought a French built RTS in good condition. However, here in Wales UK there is no info on these tractors other than they were assembled from parts shipped from the US from 1949 to 1952. They were built by the Mathis car company and were called Mathis Moline.
Any info from you MM experts would be appreciated.
Many Thanks.

I am only aware of one Mathis Moline in the states. It is a vineyard model, so is different than any domestically produced MM. The first thing that catches one's eye when looking at it is the carb and electrical system which is completely different than a US manufactured tractor. It is obviously a MM, but there are differences. I would be curious as to the serial number on your friends tractor. Could you email me that number?

Thanks for your reply Butch. When I next see my friend I'll ask him to get me the serial no. If it is anything like the French built Farmall Super FC that I own, the serial no's will not match those of the US built tractors. Would you have a picture of the Vineyard Mathis Moline that you could e-mail me?.I've atached a picture of an original sales brochure for the Mathis RTS.

Many thanks and regards from Wales.

Lyn.
