I recently aquired 3 foragor units. 2 of them are pull type and 1 is off of a Uni. All three came with heads so I have 2 corn heads and 1 hay head. One of the pull type units is a hydraulic lift and the other is a manual lift.

The guy I bought these from had been using the UNI model and broke the sliding pto shaft to one of the gear boxes. He picked up the pull type units at a neighboring auction to use for parts.

I figure that I will be able to make 2 running units out of the 3. The engines on the pull type units are locked up and have been sitting for a long time without the exhaust covered. I'm assuming that, if I can get the engines apart, I will have to stick a lot of money into them to get them running again. I'm told that these engines are Uni engines and many parts are interchangable with a ZA or ZB.

According to the parts manual, there is an optional PTO shaft similar to a corn picker available, but I haven't looked at the units close enough to see how it would hook up.

When I'm finished with this project I want to have 1 working pull type unit with a hay head and a corn head. I might be interested in trading all of the left overs for a good running UNI engine.

Before getting my hands on these, I had never seen one of them other than pictures. I'm guessing that, at least in SE Minnesota, they are quite rare.
