Does anyone have a starting crank gear assembly for a JT Moline. Mine is broken and won"t turn the engine. Seems to slip inside the gear box. Thanks.

Thanks guys- Yes it is two gears and a chain. Turns out the pin holding the lower sprocket to the shaft is sheared off. Now I need to figure out how to get the gearbox out of the tractor without splitting the tractor.

If you can get the pin out of the upper sprocket you can probably pull the crank out the front and the whole mess will fall to the floor. It may take some heat and I think that pin is tapered. If so, you will have to drive from the small end.

Removing the radiator would help a lot, But there again you may have broken bolts to contend with.

I thought the JT is chain driven inside the crank box. Could you replace the sprockets and chain or is the wear too much for that?

I don't have a spare one, but I am 95% certain that gearbox is the same as MM used on the UTU series tractors. It just has two sprockets and a chain between them.
