Compression Ratio Limits

I have read about a million posting on this webpage looking for ideas on how high you can push the compression on an MM engine using today's gas. I am rebuilding a MM JetStar (206 engine) and need to replace the heads. I can get my hands on a pair of heads from a friend off a 335 that are ready to bolt on. Based on the head charts, it looks like it will be pushing the compression up to about 8.5:1. Is that too high for a tractor likely some work but mostly do shows? I don't want this thing to start knocking everytime I put a load on it and I would like to aviod special fuels. Premium gas would be OK because it won't get used that much and the price of the heads from my friend can not be beat.

They should work. The newer gas works better at about that ratio.
