hey boys. i have been reading on the board here about some formulas you guys use to loosen up a stuck engine. I dont have much money cause i am only 13. does that brown vinegar thing really work? or should i try something else?

hope you realize that with the heads off there is nothing keeping the blocks from moving when you try to turn over the engine except the stuck pistons. Try pipe spacers cut to correct length over the studs with washers and nuts replaced before trying to turn engine.

THANS SO MUCH GUYS FOR YOUR KNOWLEDGE. I DID GO A HEAD AND TAKE THE HEADS OFF ON THE ACCOUNT OF WATER BEING IN THE BORES. NOT MUCH SCALEY RUST THOUGH. WENT WITH THE BROWN VINEGAR THING. HEARD IT WAS A NIGHTMARE ON RUST. THOUGHT THIS MAY DISSOLVE SOME OF IT ANYWAYS. ALL 4 CYLINDERS ARE FULL. HOW LONG SHOULD I LEAVE THIS STUFF SOAKING? I CHECK IT EVERY MORNING AND NIGHT AND IT'S MAKING A FIZZING NOISE FROM THE CYLINDERS .IS THIS GOOD OR BAD? HONESTLY GUYS I DONT KNOW WHATS GOIN ON WITH THAT. DONT HAVE ANYONE TO HELP ME MUCH SO I WILL GLADLY TAKE ANY AND ALL AVAILABLE ADVICE, PROCEDURESE AND STEPS TO GET HER LOOSE AND MYBEY RUNNING REALLY SOON? HAVE ANY OF YOU GOOD GUYS HEARD OF " STRONG ARM SPRAYS"? LOOKED AT IT ON THE NET 2NITE. IT SOUNDS GOOD. BUT ALSO LOOKED AT THE "KROIL" WEBSITE TOO. IT SOUNDS AWESOME ALSO. JUST KEEP HELPING ME ALONG GUYS. IT REALLY MEANS ALOT TO A KID WHO IS WORKING ON HIS FIRST "DREAM TRACTOR". ALWAYS BEEN IN LOVE WITH THOES BIG OLE MOLINES. HOPEFULLY MY WELL OFF UNCLE WILL LIVE UP TO HIS PROMISE AND TAKE ME TO AUMANN IN NOVEMBER AND GET ME MY ABSOLUTE DREAM. A 1355 DIESEL OR G1000 WHEATLAND DIESEL WITH THE FLAT TOP FENDERS AND ETC. One thing I have told works, but have not tried, is to put the transmission in high gear and jack one rear wheel slightly off the ground. Then try rocking that wheel back and forth until all the pistons break loose. You have a pretty good lever arm out there at the tire. Sounds easier than the 4x4 and sledgehammer routine.
The bubbling is acetic acid (vinegar) reacting with iron cxide (rust)

Well I have been unlocking engines now for the past 30 years and I have tried also every thing and in the last 5 years my money goes for tranny fluid and or turpentine. As a matter of fact I have unstuck about 10 engines in the last 5 years and I have used tranny fluid on all but 2 and those 2 I used a mix of tranny fluid and turpentine. And even then one sleeve/piston didn't come loose and I ended up pulling the sleeve. So since you have little $$ to play with go spend $2 for a quart of tranny fluid and fill the cylinders. It may take more them a quart but at least thats a start

I have good results usin air pressure and pb blaster or wd 40,freeall or somthin of the like..Take all your sparkplugs out.and knock out the center of one out and weld in an air fitting(male end)Make sure you have all your valves loosend up so thell be closed and spray a whole can of whatever your usin into all 4 cyl..Screw in your new style sparkplug.Put the air to it...150 lbs would be good.What ever you do ..DONT TAKE THE THE AIR FITTING OFF WHILE ITS UNDER PRESSURE...Just shut the compressure off and watch the air gage, when it hits ZERO take it off and move onto the next cyl.You may have to TAP your valves with a wooden mallett to help them seat if air comes out the intake or exhaust manifold.This aint rocket science...Heres a clew...drain all your crankcase oil and leave out the plug..if the air pushes the oil past the rings itll come out the pan hole..I did this on my utu that sat for 7 yrs and it worked just fine..If its rusted up from water gettin inside itll be harder to do, you may haveto pull the heads to work on it..Try this first,cause even if you haveto pull the heads to work on it you will have oil pushed intothe rings.....sorry so long winded...steve

I've heard mixing some kerosene and diesel fuel works well. That would be somewhat inexpensive for the small amount you'd need.
