Installing grill in RT

Wondered if anybody had any hints as to how to install the grill in an R. I assume you have to bolt the radiator in the shroud first, then bolt the shroud down to the pedestal. How then do you get the grill in and put the bolt in behind to hold the grill up? Or is it possible to get the grill in place, bolt down the shroud, and then slip the radiator in behind? To do that, you would have to remove the fan, and possibly the aircleaner?.

DZ, The grill is slid in after the radiator and shroud are bolted down. It slides in from the top and the bolt at the bottom is already installed loosely so the grill screen will slid in behind it and then tightened up after it is in place.

I tried it, I guess I can get the grill in from outside, but how do you tighten down the bolt for the clip once the grill is in?

My grill had a "L" shaped clip, and a small piece of thin square steel like a washer. The bolt was passed through on the inside. Could you explain how it is supposed to clip in and how to tighten it?

Worst case scenario, I bet you could do away with the clip, I don't see how it could fall out. My grill is sprung in there so tight...

The only thing I can add is I used some pieces of fairly thick plastic folded around the grille to keep from scuffing the paint. I cut the pieces from the plastic cases the battery cables came in.
