how much work is it to put a 220 motor in an R what has to be changed any help would be great

I have an R that is rigged this way, Mopower is correct, you'll have to use the R flywheel and clutch, also the starter ring gear. the ring gear is too big, so I put some spacers around it and welded it to the flywheel in about 12 different spots. It sure makes a nice 3600 lb puller.

Yes this can be done using an R flywheel. i believe you may need a different ring gear and the water ports on the new engine do not line up with th radiator, but you could rig something up.
