Bob,
Your last pic appears to be part of the U diesel intake preheater. A long tip sprak plug threads into this part along with a fuel line connected to a plunger pump by the dash.

Thanks. I know I've seen that piece in use, but I still can't place it.

Bob,
The piece mounts directly to the intake manifold on the early diesels. It has a seperate coil mounted right next to it to provide the spark to ignite the diesel fuel being pumped into the manifold from the hand pump by the dash. I believe this same system was used on the early G diesels too.

Thanks.

My "MM" experience ranges from TC 12-20's to "U"'s, to gasser "G"'s, to GVI diesels, up to a G-1355, but I missed the "U" and "G" diesels!

I hope someone can use the parts. They have been around our place since the MM dealership in Cando, ND went out, and, having no use for them, I'm listing them for a very nominal starting bid.

I'm still hoping someone will recognize this air tube, or whatever it is. I am thinking it MAY be for a combine?

As posted before, the tube is marked "UT506".

Bob,

Are you sure that is the right part number? UT indicates it is for a U tractor, but I've looked in early thru late parts books and don't see this part. I looked at a 1956 parts price list and this number is not in there nor is it in the parts substitution list.
