Clutch not releasing on UTIL

Hi,

I started my UTIL yesterday, after sitting for a couple of months, and noticed I couldn't get it into gear. It seems the clutch is not releasing.

I stopped the engine, and placed it in gear, and with the clutch pedal depressed, tried to start it. It tried to roll the tractor forward, and would stall the starter when the brakes were pressed.

I then tried to pull it in gear (with the clutch pedal depressed), but it just turned the engine over.

Is there anything I am missing? Or other tricks I can try to get the clutch to release?

I'd start it in high gear somehow, take it down the road with the clutch ddepressed and keep on the brakes. IF it's not stuck too bad, that'll work. My neighbor has a Ford that has the same problem every year, He puts a box scraper on it after it's running the first time, uses the load and the brakes, it frees up after 100 yards or so. Works okay the rest of the year. John
