Yep,picked up a new noise to fix...Weeding out the little things seems to be what ive been doing since its been rebuilt..Here it is...small knockin noise comin from the lower radiator hose connection at the water pump.You can even feel it!!I used a screwdriver and checked EVERYTHING else and that is definently where its comin from..Any ideas what it could be??....

Just a wild thought! You might have broken a fin off the impeller. I have had seen those rusted up so thight that the engine will not turn.

If this ain't a John Deere you might try adjusting the camshaft thrust screw.

I did readjust the cam thrust and it dosent have a spring in the lower hose(very short hose).I pulled the cover off the waterpump housing and there is some endplay in the waterpump shaft.Its not a JD its a mm U..How do you take out the play??....

if the lower hose has a spring in it to keep it from suckin shut it could be hitting on impeller...i've seen em move more than once.
