Just Purchased a 1946 UTU S/N 316400U
UTU S/N start in 1948. Serial plate is stamped With utu.Is this a UTU or UT

I have a 41 UTS with bar grill serial #315--- The grill was changed mid year

My sources show it as as 1943UT. If it was a 41 it would have a red nose grill. The U at the end of the serial number is for universal. It should have a single block and have a mag.

My book shows that serial numeber to be a 1941 U. Does anyone else have any different info?

I have 2 separate lists..... ..... ....both indicate it is a 1941.
