Oil Filter

i just changed my oil filter on my 50 Zau moline and when i reasembled it and put oil in and started the tractor oil gushed out where the bolt goes against the shell cover of the oil filter the copper or brass piece of metal that sits between the bolt head and shell inst sealing any more what do i do to seal that off

Make sure there arent any cracks at the end of the filter shell. That does happen on those. A good nylon washer will work also I believe.

If it is copper, you can heat it up red hot and drop it into a bucket of cold water. It will puff the copper back up, so it will seal again.
