i have a carb from a u302,Zenith 14992 can't find anyone who lists a rebuild kit for it,some list a marvel carb but no zenith,can anyone help?Thanks Rich

Rich, The Zenith 14992 or 014992 is still a current carb in Zenith price sheet and it's called a model 267 carb. Zenith kit number is K2127. Email me if you can't find it or check with a local NAPA for it also.

Thanks for the info guys,I checked with NAPA,They had a kit on the shelf,only thing I'm not sure of is if the carb had a adjustable load jet needle or it was fixed,the plug that gains access to the main jet is gone,so not sure if I should plug it or install a adj. load needle fixture,Thanks Rich

You'll need the main jet adjusting needle. For the 14992 it list adjusting needle part number C71-104 and still in price sheet for about $15. I would have to special order it and not sure if a nearby warehouse would have it or it would come from the factory. You can find other Zenith dealers listed at zenithfuelsystems.com

I think the original carb was a Marvel Schebler and I think the original number was TSX878. (This is from my notes, and I don't know where the original data came from.) It has a slightly larger throat than the more common carburetor that fits the 445, jetstar 4 star series tractors.

I've only seen one of those carbs in the last 10 years, so probably be best to try to fix the Zenith.

Hey Kelvin, My Zenith/Marvel Schebler catalogs don't even show a Zenith 14992 at all for MM applications. If I found right info I'm showing a U302 had 220 or 221 engine. Zenith catalog does show OEM carb for the 220 being a MS TSX-878 which uses kit K7515. MS TSX-878 = MM part # 10A18173. Zenith also showed it being used on a M4. They show the replacement to now be a Zenith 14996 which is a universal replacement type carb but still show the 14992 in price sheet. They also show the 14991 as replacement for the 445 and Jetstar.
