Hey Guys, Been reading on here the last few weeks about not getting Rpms out of the novi gov. I was worried as I was fixing a 5 star puller that had a novi gov. Got it running and checked the Rpms yesterday. Could only get about 1450 out of it. What we did was take the top lever plate that moves on top of gov off. This is where the stop screw is also. Ground the part of the plate that goes against the gov at full speed. ground about an inch off it. Instead of using the factory hole for the throttle rod. Drill a hole halfway in for the throttle rod. Then behind the gas tank take the throttle rod out and add a 2 and a half inch plate with a new hole for your throttle rod. This gave it the axsis it needed to pull the gov. all the way open. Also cut the stop screw shorter to clear when going back to idle. Hope this helps. I got 1850 rpms out of it. Good Luck.
