Sooo, to make a long story short, one of my dad's irrigation engines blew a valve, so he was going to have it rebuilt. The motor is a Minnie HD 800 (maybe 6A-although I don't know). After they tore it down they found things wrong with other valves and two cylinders. Well anyway, the cost was upwards of $8000 dollars! A guy told my dad that the heads off of the motor are worth some money to tractor pullers if the serial number ended in ---28. Which they do. Something about output potential. Are they worth some money? The way I understood it was that there were interchangeable with some other engines? Any specs on it and any other info on this engine would be great! Sry for long post and thanks in advance!

I know it costs a lot to fix these MMs, but $8,000 seems seems like too much. What portion was labor?

Have you talked to Clint Stamm in Washington, KS?
