i have a minne ZA the temp lead is 6 feet long the only replacements i have found is 40 inches long can someone help me with info on what to do

Be aware that some aftermarket gauges have a fairly long {pellet] that goes into the engine. If memory serves the ZA factory gauge has a short pellet because of lack of depth where it goes. Using a bushing to extend it out sometimes messes with a proper temp reading.

Try Antique Gauges, (Cordova Md) 410-422-4963. Kinda pricey, last temp gauge I bought was $60.

If you are looking for a universal (black face) gauge, the gauge Tractor Supply carries is long enough for a ZB so it should fit your ZA.

check this guy out on ebay tractordudex2
i got one from him awhile back for my ford...its chinese but it works...you prob have to make an adaptor or use a bushing depending on your manifold...oh...did i mention theyre dirt cheeeep too.

Try "Google" for gauge restorations. You will get a whole list of companies that repair and or restore to include the long capillary tube replacements.
