I have a U that I pull and it weighs 4900 with a 200 lb driver. How can I lighten it up more? Any help would be appreciated.

The PTO can be removed but you will need to reduce at least 355 lbs to get down to the next lower class. Why not add 150 lbs and go up to the 5000 lb class. They pull better in the heaver class anyway.

I am looking to strip enough weight to be able to put three hundred out on the front weight bracket. We only have 5000 classes and up. My problem now is my tractor has plenty of power but lifts the front end quickly in the 5000.

No fenders, belt pulley, foot platform. Pressed steel rims. THats about it.

Get a magneto & remove the starter,generator& battery. Pressed steel rims off of a "Z" are very light. Light weight tires such as armstrongs, if rims & tires are good mount them tubeless. 15" front rims with 400x15 tires, also tubeless if possible. Light weight hitch but strong enough. If the bank account allows aluminum oil pan & transmission lid. Drop to 5gal of oil in rearend if your just going to pull it. Remove everything thats not needed to go pulling. Also the steering shaft can be made out of aluminum.
