engine assembly lube

I never used this product but bought a tube of high pressure molly -graphite engine assembly lube made by CRC...Has anyone used this particular product?I would feel MUCH better if there was a way to pre lube my MM U motor like i have on all my V-8 rebuilds..Is there a way to do this...Steve

All the engines I have ever done I used STP oil treatment on every thing. Works good stays put and never had any problems with the engine after words

Thats a good product it got hard to find for a little while I like it better than Lubriplate, You can build a pre-luber thats adaptable to anything, Take a old freon tank and weld a 1" pipe nipple or larger fitting in it , thats where you will put your oil in, The braze a 1/4 inch copper line in run it to the bottom, on the out side put a ball valve on it and a short piece of 1/4" hyd. hose to hook to the oil port on the engine with what ever adapter you need. Make sure you have a way to air the tank up off your compressor( another fitting in the top). Put you 8 quarts or so in the tank, pressure it up with air and connect it to the engine the turn the valve all that oil will pushed in to everything. Pulling one around with the plugs out works good too if you have some help.

For a quick engine pre-luber, go to WallyWorld and get a plastic pump-up garden sprayer for about 8 bucks. Cut the nozzle off, and hose clamp a length of 5/16" gas hose over the stub nozzle tube. Install a hose barb in the other end that fits a port in the main oil gallery, even the oil gauge port. Put some engine oil in the sprayer and pump it up. Oil will be forced to all pressure-lubed parts of the engine.

After 2 or 3 years, some of the plastic parts of the sprayer may begin to deteriorate, but for about 8 bucks, who cares!

I use Moroso. Same basic product, use it on everything but the pistons, just dunk them in a coffee can of oil before installing.

I"ll sometimes pressure lub an MM engine back throught the oil pressure port if there is no one around to help me tow the tractor around to spin the engine. Then fire it on the starter.
