I know this has been gone over time and again, but I'm looking to build a 605 diesel. I'm not looking at building a puller, just a farm tractor. I have been doing some investigating and have everything pretty well figured out except for the rods. I've heard of using rods from a Case, but from what one I don't know. I know the 605 rods can be used, but it's my understanding that they are to weak to handle much use.

Can anyone be of assistance here?

Thanks much!

Is there anything that needs to be done in terms of the journal width? Journal diameter?

What pistons do you run with this setup? Are there any modifications that need to be done to the wrist pin?

Thanks much for the reply

I would contact Henderson Power. He knows what rods work with what setup. M-M did make a tall block 605 diesel, but pretty rare. I am assuming you wantt o make a 504 diesel in to a 605 by swapping cranks.

Basically making a 605 out of a 504. How do I get a hold of Henderson Power?

Thanks for your help,
