Can anyone tell me the weight of a ZAU? No fluid in the rear tires, but it looks like a very complete, solid iron machine! Thank you!

I pull a 1950 zau. With out fenders, weight brackets, wheel weights or wheelie bars, it weighs around 3800 pounds. I pull it in the 4000 and 4500 class. Have also won in the 5000 class a few times also against some pretty heafty farmall m's.

Nebraska test of ZTU in Sept. 1940 lists weight at 4850#. Anybody know why it should be that much more than a ZA?

Nebraska test data of May 1950 shows PTO & belt HP (36.2), presumably they were on the test tractor with weight listed as 3750#, who knows if actual or estimated? Hydraulics add lots of weight, for sure.

My JTU/RE is basically the same thing as a ZTU, it has cast centers on the front and real, weighs #5500 with me on it, no fluid.

Intertec Used Tractor Price Guide says shipping weight is 3600#, ZA Operation & Maint. manual says 3800#. I assume the difference is wet or dry.

That sounds a little light. I bet it is without belt pulley, pto or hyraulics.
My '38 ZTU weighs just over 4200 and Dad's ZB weighs close to 5,000 with fluid in the tires.
