Yes, I own a 1951 Oliver 66 Row Crop. We put several hundred miles on it each summer on tractor rides all over Iowa.

The first tractor with a live or independent PTO was Hart-Parr in 1928 on their 12-24 & 18-36 models. Beating the Cockshutt 30 and Oliver 88 by almost 20 years.

I believe the first fully enclosed factory cab was the Minneapolis-Moline UDLX in 1938. Followed by the M-M R-Cab in 1939.

In 1907 Hart-Parr's sales manager, W.H. Williams started to use the word "tractor" to replace "gasoline traction engine" in their advertisements. Hart-Parr is recognized as making "tractor" a universally accepted word.

and did the word tractor come from hart parr?the minnies and ollies were very good machines,and first in several things,cannot figure out why they did not move into the number one spot.they are still my favorites.

I believe that Cockshutt was the first tractor with a live pto and the Minneapolis Moline UDLX was the first tractor with a factory cab.
