I have an RT tractor( has RT100 cast on to the transmission LHS)The ID plate on the right of the transission is missing. From the engine plate is the number 01_06144. There is a rust spot at the third digit. I suspect it was a 4 however. Can this number be related to the tractor number for dating? Also has RE152E on engine crank case cover Thanks

There is no serial number in EE engines for RT tractors a 4 in the third spot. How ever there is a serial number on engine that is 01705445 - 01706882 for the year of 1952 engines. So I would guess to say that is where yours falls into. Does this tractor have the solid side panels on it or the louvered ones. If it is solid than that also suports the 1952 model as well. But I have been known to be wrong more than once and people have said so.

The engine side panels are flat as you mentioned. I take it also to be a RTU as it has twin tyres together at the front. Thank you for your help as this date has been puzzling me for a while now
