I have a IXB 3 Hercules in a 1951 MM/Avery BF that has a miss I cannot find. The compression test is around 95-100 lbs on all of the cyls, and has good spark. It seems to try and fire once in a while, but not for very long, cold or hot makes no difference. All I can think of is a valve stuck shut, or a exhaust port full of rust. Can anyone shed some light on this if you have had the same problem. Thanks

heres a fairly easy way to check it...remove all the spark plugs and dig up an adaptor so you can connect an air hose to blow air into cylinder...slowly rotate engine thru all 4 cycles and listen for air coming from carb and exhaust...tone should be same...i've run across manifolds stuffed full of all kinda crap from mice building nests...intake and exhaust...oh yeah...dont look into muffler or carb while air is on...u dont want a surprise

could be a bad plug too...sometimes they check out ok till theyre under load.
