Need ring gear and pinion for MM "R" tractor

Wanted: Ring gear and pinion for 1948 MM RTE tractor.
Does anyone have a possible source for these parts new or used? Would also like to have information
on how to remove and replace these parts in our tractor. We have restored several Molines but have not yet experienced this problem. Any information is appreciated.

My guesstimate would be the tractor was ran low on grease or with too much water in the transaxle. Any of these old tractors took on water through the shifter. My solution is for you to get another transaxle or another complete R and start over again. The ring gear and pinion could just be the beginning. Many of the bearing in the transaxle could be shot. The parts and your labor out weigh the cost of a different tractor. Later.
