When I setup a Tele-Flo system, I set it on a bench or a barrel.Take off the cover held on the top of the section that has the main levers on it. It has two small horizontal levers on it and is held on by 4 1/4" bolts. Note how the relief valve is assembled
on the side of the hole under the cover removed above so you will know how to put it back together when it falls out. Remove the front casting where the springs are located & set it aside. Keep track of where the springs come from as most of them are different. Only the two for the remote cylinders are the same. When you remove the front cover, try to keep the other two sections from coming forward so everthing stays where it goes. After removing the front casting, put spacers or washers on two of the bolts to hold the rest in place. The washers will keep from scoring the next housing as well as act as spacers. Different systems have different length bolts & need only washers on some. On the older systems, the tube that goes in the front lower center of the front housing is held in by the hole in the front casting being offset from the hole in the second housing. You will have to hold the spool (or spools) you are adjusting rearward with your fingers, the springs or short lengths of rubber tubing. I usually have to slide the different sections forward several times to get some of the adjustments loose or to adjust them & then tighten them when finished. Be sure to check all the adjustments one more time before final reassembly in case you missed something or didn't get it quite right.
