I was just wondering is it a big job to replace the water pump seals in a Gvi that is letting water into the sump. What would be a fair price for this type of tractor in Aussi Dollars?

You will have 2 seals to replace, and at least 2 gaskets, (these you can cut)other problems are possible but you will not know until you pull it apart. Cost will be minimal if you can do the job yourself, I had a bloke at Warracknabeal do my G1000, it cost me $360 all up, complete water pump refurbishment, I have done 2 M5"s myself and it cost under $100. Have left my email open if you want details. Hope I can be of some help.

Not a major job, can be done at home fairly easily, getting the required parts out here is more of a problem. I can give you details of a few places to find them. I paid $2500 for a GVI in excellent nick about 3 years ago. It's only problems were an ugly cabin (now removed) and a leak from the power steering cylinder.

Thanks Tony. Do you only need the seal or is there generally other parts required? This tractor has an old cabin fitted with louver windows which looks o.k. It is slightly weather beaten but runs beautifuly and will do up alright. He wants around $3000 but hopefully i can talk him down a bit! Thanks once again,
lanzboy
