The oil tube on my jet star 2 runs up the outside between the heads. Was leaking so I took it off and found this1/4" rod inside it The book I have didn't show this. It must be in there to restrict the oil flow is all I can figure. What do you guys think. Keith

The 1/4" rod is to restrict the oil flow, never seen it in a parts book, but all the ones I've had apart have one. I took the "girdle" off the top of the heads to get enough leverage to tighten it.
