GVI at auction

Ihave Five MM tractors but have no idea or info.on the GVI diesel.What years of prodction,horsepower,weight,and reliability.Was this model popular and can someone give me aapproximate price range if in average to fair condition.

I have a 61 GVI. I think they were made 59 to 62. Power was 80 hp. It's late, so perhaps someone else has a better memory, or will look the stuff up, but I was think the op manual showed around 7500 lbs. I paid $2000 4 years ago, which probably was a little high. It had new paint w/decals, sheet metal very good, tires new recaps, engine rear main leaks and it white smokes too much at startup. Really needs an overhaul if it is to be worked much. Ok for parades or plowing day activities. Brakes are fair at best. Really haven't seen very many, doesn't appesar to as much interest in this model or there aren't very many in this area. I wanted one to use/show with my JD830 and IH660 and the hope to have, Oliver 990. I think it would be worth at least $1500-1800

There were 3235 GVI diesels made from 59-62. Also they made 2352 LP versions. The GVI was made for MF as the 95 Super with 100 LP and 1775 diesel versions being made. The MF versions had a different grill and upper radiator casting.
I agree that $1500-2000 seems to be the range in the midwest. I think the love it or hate it looks (I love it) have kept the values from increasing too much. I've got a 1960 GVI diesel with Elwood FWA and wouldn't trade it for the world.
