I have a chance to buy a 1952 MM U. Everything is original including paint.Minimal rust, runs like a top.On a scale of 1 to 10 it is probably a 7 or 8.Is it worth more because it is original or would a restored be worth more? I would appreciate any advice I can get.

You didn't mention the asking price unrestored and
personally I prefer to buy them and then restore
them myself. If it already runs good I would say
to buy it and paint it when you get ready.
Make sure you check the exhaust manifold for cracks, a 52 might be just about due for a new one. New ones are available, used ones are scarce
as chickens teeth.
As for price on a 52 U, from $400 to $1500, depends on tires, hydraulics etc.
