Which Manuals for a MM M5?

We just picked up a 1961 (per serial no search) MM M5. Gas powered with a 3 pt hitch. It did not come with any manuals and we would like to purchase some but are not sure which one(s) to get. Can anyone make a recommendation? Thanks so much in advance!!

Hi, There is an operator manual and a repair manual. The operator manual will be the most helpful in operating and maintaining the tractor. A repair manual is a "parts book", helpfull in knowing what part is needed or missing. That has exploded drawings of every part of your tractor. I am not sure if there was a seperate operator manual for a diesel, LP, or gas. It would say on the cover. Watch ebay or there are reprints available of the manuals. 20-30 dollars each. Both are worth having.

Moline manual designations are strange- what you would think of as a parts book is called a repair manual. What you would think of as a shop or repair manual, is nonexistent. The only "shop manual" is the IT series. Its OK, if you have some mechanical experience- and about the only game in town.

Not true. MM published dealer service manuals for their tractors. You see them on eBay all the time. There is also a company called Espcor (spelling?)that sells MM serice manuals on a DVD on eBay. They also have a website where you can buy them. I own both and prefer the DVD.
