Where is the best place or situation to use 10A4207 heads? By the chart the comp is very high? Are they too high to run on gas or even aviation fuel? Don L.

I have a Set of 07's on a UTU with a stock motor that I use for tractor pulling that works really well. I have won numerous stock pulls with it. I live at 400ft elevations. I have to run straight 110 octane gas ($5.00 a gallon) to keep from pinging and dieseling when shutting it off. I have alot of fun with it. go to the link and down load the movie and watch. Link

I did get my info from service bulletin from MM. I knew it sounded wrong. Is there any more on it wrong?

It would depend on the engine you are using them on.The 4207 is about 9.3 to 1 compression on a 283. 17.6 to 1 on 605. It would be somewhere in between on a 336. Probably close to 11 to 1. Your altitude would also make a difference.

Harold I have one of those old charts and it is wrong for 07 heads on a 403-605. Correct is 12.6 to 1. Hope this helps.

I've got 4207s on a 336 in a UTS/LP, runs good on LP, can pull 3x14s all day without a problem. Don't know about running them on a gasoline motor.
