How much horsepower does a uvb Moline have,and what years did they make them.I had one walk all over my G John Deere at a pull last weekend.My tractor is stock,and the Moline was supposed to be also.We were both in the 6500lb.class.If you can't beat em join em.I WANT ONE.Could someone tell me approxamatly what one of these would sell for.THANKS Jack.

A stock MM UB should have about 48 HP. You can get about 100HP from a stock looking motor for around $2500. The cost of a UB (depends on location and shape) should be $750 to $1500.

I've got a couple UB's and I was kinda curious about how you go about gettin a 100 horse out of one of em, one of mine has M5 pistons which helped out on poewr but I would still like to have a little more pullin power..... Josh

To get about 100HP from a UB is simple. Start with a G crank. Get the rod journals cut down to fit the UB rod. (From 2.75 to 2.517 dia) When you do this you can get it offset gound to 6.18 stroke. Get a set of "stroker pistons" from Welters Farm Supply (417-498-6496). The pistons are made for the G crank and the short blocks. They are 4.81" in dia. You will need to use the M5 blocks (10A15151) These blocks can be bored for the bigger pistons. Have your camshaft reground for better air flow. Hossier Regrinding (812-234-1715) will do a good job. Get a 670 LP intake manifold.
Send your carb to Motec Engineering (765-963-6628) They will increase the flow to get more power. The parts, gaskets, and machine work will cost about $2500 (less if you already have some of the parts)
This motor will be 450cid and put out 95 to 100 HP.
