I just picked up a Moline plow. It is a two bottom 14 inch on steel wheels. How do you determine the model? The moldboards have Prairie Gold paint and a MM logo and seem to be newer then the rest of the plow. What would an orginal color scheme look like?

Thanks for all the info. This plow must be a low clearance,the points are 3" off the ground. I found a few part numbers:lower landside to moldboard bracket hf1382,tail wheel hub v5880. It is missing one adjusting handle, one landside and the casting on the end. The three coil springs are pretty bad but are there for samples. Are there points,landsides etc.availible?

A friend of mine built himself new landslides out of half inch steel, that is what I will do when I need new ones. He had it cut to the right size and then drilled the holes for the bolts and then used a bigger bit to make the outside of the hole bigger to hide then head of the bolt. They looked real nice. As far as points and lays, no body makes them as far as I know, watch auctions and look at junk piles. Years ago, farmers had blacksmiths rebuild their lays, that is a lost art now.

The majority of the MM plows I have seen are the "AF" style as Brian stated. The earlier plows that were on steel, early 1940's, had a different hitch on them otherwise most of the plow was the same. The real early plows were a little different all together. Yes they were red with gold wheels, as Brian said. Some of the plows and disks, the red paint turned a dull dark blue in color, as I have seen also. I may have some plow parts for sale.

hi, It is'nt easy to figure out the model. I have a 2-16 "AF" model, made in the 40's-50's, and it took me a while to figure that out. Is it a high clearance type? by that I mean are the bottoms out of the ground by 5-6 inches? If not, are the bottoms only out by a couple of inches? then it could be an older model call "low clearance" model. Maybe if you could send be a picture I could help more. Most MM plows were red with yellow wheels. Your yellow bottoms could be replacements, and then your plow could be a model I know nothing off. The red bottoms hade a yellow MM and acme steel decals.

I also have a 2x14 plow but on rubber it is high clearance and it seems to be painted blue is that the color it was painted or was it a primer also where can i find parts for my plow
