I'm looking at a ZB to buy. The serial number is 06200187. What year is the tractor. Also where can I find parts to rebuild the engine. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Its most likely a '53, as the ZB was produced from '53-'55.
Parts:
Welters 417-498-6496, Everett, 740-922-3335, Baucom 1-800-658-2309 (not necessarily a 'free' phone call as prices a bit high and only ships to me COD.)
Also, NAPA has a good gasket set and I always get my ignition parts from them.

Thanks I more than likely but the tractor. The tractor turns over but will not fire so I will more than likely rebuild engine since this will be a pulling tractor. $500 dollars not bad, sheet metal in good shape the guy was getting rid of his old tractors. Brought all of hhis other tractors so I thought I would buy this to if engine parts were easy to get. Thanks for the assist.

Terry,
As long as its not stuck you should have no problem rebuilding. Rings, bearings, valves, gaskets are all readily available from the sources Kelvin listed. If you need oversize pistons you'll probably have to go aftermarket. Welter's should be able to help you with those. $500 is a good price without a stuck motor. I suggest you get it running before tearing it down. The crankshaft is supported in front on a roller bearing. If the bearing got rusty from sitting it will probably growl as the engine is running. This bearing is available from most bearing houses but expect to pay about $100 or so.

The motor is not stuck, the guy said it was running when last used. I know to take that with a grain of salt. The motor can be turned by hand. I plan on getting it running before I tear the motor down. If Ain't broke don't fix is how I'm going to appoach the motor.
