Mounting a Loader on an M602

I am mounting a loader on an M602 and ran into a snag. The loader has an Oliver tag on it but looks like a Schwartz to me. It came off of a M670 and I thought it would bolt right up to the M602. There are three threaded holes on each side of the fromt tractor support frame to bolt on the front of the loader. I am using the back 2 holes because the frame is not long enough to reach the rear axle with the front 2. I am finding a gap of about 2 inches between the loader frame and the tractor frame. If I shim this gap with washers, will I comprimise the loader capacity? I also noticed that the threaded holes on the right support frame are deeper than on the left. If I shim the gap, do I need to center the loader frame by adding more washers to the left side?

Hi Bill,

I just came on here to see if anyone had mounted a loader on a M602. Happy to see a thread about it!

If you get her on, could you send or post some pics of the end product? Also how you like it?

What did you think of a loader on a M602 or a M670, Luke? I'm debating to put one on a JetStar series tractor or a M602 (or even a M604 if I can find one). Live hydraulics would be greatly appreciated compared to what I have now. I had a UB and have a UTE that were setup for a loader at one time. Wonder what that was like? Would a decent loader fit on a ZB? Or would that be awkward. I know someone that used to have one on a ZA. Wish I knew what kind it was. Still doesn't have multiple spool hydraulics, but at least they're live.

I would not use washers get a plate the sise of the pad on the tractor and drill the holes in the right place you can get them from your iron or metal place and you should be abel to get the right thicness might have to use 2 on each side bolt them up tack it and then weld them together good off the tractor I would try to get bolts in all the holes in the front if you have to modify it we had to spase out the rear and build the front mounts for our Jet Star 2

Bill,
I recently sold my M602. I took my loader off of it to put on my new M670. The 602 used 2 special bent flat bars to fill the gap. If I remember right the 602 used all 3 holes on each side and there were 2 remaining holes the the Schwartz loader bolted up to. I had to slide the rear axle bracket back some to make it work on the 670, so the reverse wold be true on your tractor.
I still have the brackets (flat bars) off the 602 and see no reason that I will need them again, if you may be interested. Call with questions 217-412-0001
