Hi -

How universal was the PTO on the G MM's??

I've got trouble on my G-705, but have a parts GB with a PTO.

Would it interchange?

Without consulting parts books I would think the GB pto would fit right on with the possible exception of the intermediate shaft between the lower countergear shaft in the transmission and the pto assembly.

I don't have a 6 cyl G series, but it appears the general opinion on the web is that the pto is marginal for the HP they can crank out. Remember just about those same parts were used on the JTU (20 hp) and probably the KT and MT (about 30 hp.).

Yes, I have a pto on my Model 97 Massey that came off a UB and the PTO on my 705 came off a G. If your intermediate shaft is OK, you'll be in business.
