I have a 1960 M5 with weak hydraulics. Everything works Ok when cold, but after its warmed up (10 min) the hydraulics get very very weak. After changing the fluid and filter I now would like to rebuild the pump. It is MM part no. 10A17561, Webster no. 3JDS4-1RT (98075 M71). I am hoping that just the "wear plates" need replacing and that there is not much other mechanical wear. My repair catalog lists 6 different Webster pumps used on M5s and M504s. My pump is one of two that have "E" shaped rubber seals, "E" shaped wear plate seals(ivory), and an oval rubber wear plate seals, and oval shapped wear plates, all sandwiched together. There are 29 parts in total, 15 G.P.M. My hydraulic preassure should be up around 1250psi. When cold it is about 700psi, after 15 minutes of warm up it drops very very low. The configuration of wear plates with 3 seals sandwiched on each side would provide alot of possibilities for leakage. And the varied pressure with fluid temp seems to indicate the pump needs rebuilding. All hydraulics get weak at the same, 3pt, remotes, and power stearing. I could also use MM pump 10A11291 (webster 4XCS2-2R), it has the same base plate, and only 24 parts. No rubber and ivory seals, just two pump body shaped wear plates. So, if anyone has a second pump for sale or knows where I might be able to get parts, or a rebuild shop? .... any help would be greatly appreciated.
