Just purchased an MM 602 LP fired and the amplitorque and clutch needed work. I have replaced the clutch and pressure plate and all of the amplitorque plates. When the amp torque lever is up to high the clutch works fine. When I pull it down and dis-engauge the planitary gear the tractor seems to want to go, but something then slips. everything is adjusted to the book specs. Does any one know what might be the problem. Any tips would be appreciated. Tom

There is an overrunning clutch in there and it is slipping. It is a ring with either rollers and springs or bars and springs supposed to grab the shaft hand hold it fast in one direction. When in high the amplitorque clutch (The clutchpack with the plates in it) locks everything together so it turns as a unit. When in low is when it drives through the planetary gearset. The overrun clutch comes into play because the planetary gears want to turn backwards and that is when it is supposed to lock up.
