I'm puttering with an M602 gas. It will turn over but no fire. It doesn't seem to be getting any power to the coil. Does any one have a wiring diagram that they can post or I can get a copy of.

Thanks, Dave

Dave, I have no diagram for you but it ought to be fairly easy to trace down the ignition circuit and you obviously MUST get voltage to the coil before she can fire.

The usual path is from an ammeter,,,,, ,to the ignition switches BAT input terminal,,,,, ,,,then from the ignition switches IGN output terminal (which MUST have battery voltage when ON) down to a ballast resistor (if it has one) and to the coils input (NOT to distributor) terminal.

You can use a cheap test lamp or a voltmeter to easily determine where the voltage is or is not present. Turn her on and attach the test lamp to the coils input and then work backwards towards the switches BAT input and IGN output to insure theres voltage at least to the switch etc.

SHES NEVER GONNA FIRE UNTIL YOU GET VOLTAGE TO THE COIL. Ignition switches can go bad (NOT hot in IGN terminal when ON),,,,, ,,,,,Ballast Resistors (if it has one) can go open,,,,, ,,,,, ,wiring from switch down to coil can go bad,,,,, ,,,wiring to the switch from ammeter can go bad,,,,, ,, etc. See if she will indeed run if you HOT WIRE to the coil????? ?

Lemme know, good luck n God Bless
