What is it supposed to be? I put in 9 quarts, cranked the tractor, let it build oil pressure and shut it off. I pulled out the dipstick and I couldn't see any oil on the dipstick.
Also, what is oil pressure supposed to be? this tractor has just over 20# at idle, cold.

Kelvin, It should be 9 quarts but someone may have put a different dipstick in the pan like one out of an R. I say this because on one of my five stars someone had done this and and R dipstick is shorter by a half of an inch and the marks are different as well but they look the same outside of that. You M5 should have be carrying 25psi to 27 psi as well. I also base that on what my five stars are set at.
