When did the R's change to the smaller headlights? 49? Also when did the rest of the Molines downsize their lights?

I believe late 1950, early "51, MM went from the large 7" to the 5 3/4" lights. They were still a reflector type as the 7" were. Then in 1953 when the ZB UB GB"s came out they used basically the same size light but they were a sealed beam unit.
When they made the change to the smaller lights in late "50-51, at this time they used the same light in the rear but it was a combination flood /red tail light with a rotary switch. This light was used as a rear light on R ZA ZB UT UB GTB GB"s and possibly on some early GVI"s. The 335 445 and 5 Stars used a smaller reflector type light for a rear light with the rotary switch. Hope this helps. (Hope it"s not too much info)
This is what I know anyway.
