This winters project is to stok my ZA, How much stoke will this engine take? I'm 1/8 +.010 on the piston and had the cam reground I heard that take a 1/4 inch off the journal and add it to the opposite side and get the pistons with the compression heighth 1/4 up. Is this the whole ball of wax Will there be any clearance problems?

just make connecting rods 1/2 longer and put a spacer between blocks this will give you a 1/2 inch stroke Bill

You'd still have the same 5" stroke, just 1/2" higher.
