Minneapolas Molene Gta Serial# 162117 This was my Grandfathers tractor. He said it was made between 1941-1943. Vintage world warII. It had 20' truck wheels and had been painted green at the factory for military use to transport planes. My grandfather purchased it new after the war and used it on the farm approx. 60 hours. If anyone has anymore info. would love to hear it.

Dad has a 1942 GTA, not sure of the Serial #, The fan shroud is painted green. The rest of the tractor is yellow. We haven't scraped the paint off anywhere to see if the yellow was a paint over. This tractor also came from MT. Mike

Deb,
From the serial # its a 1942 model. This was the first year for the GTA model and yours is the 117th one made. Moline did not make a GTA military model at least not with different serial numbers. Sounds like a unique machine. You should post a picture to this site so we can all see it. I've never seen a GTA painted up in military colors.
