I have 1935 or 36 MTA that I just got running when the rotten manifold came to pieces. I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction to find a replacement, a good used one or new if anyone builds them. Are there any other models that will interchange. Also how many variations of the MTA were made. The one I have is about 7 feet wide and another I have found is much narrower, with shorter tires. Both have MTA on the serial plate and the serial numbers are very close( less than fifty apart). THANKS IN ADVANCE Tony

IF all else fails, go to georgemillermachine.com and look at the JTU manifold repair.

U manifolds will not fit an MTA or a KTA. the port spacing is different and the original MTA carb won't bolt to the U manifold. I tried.

The manifold bolts to the head just fine, the problem is where the carb bolts up. A manifold off of an old U will work as they used the same carb. The reproduction manifolds will work, but you need to enlarge the bolt holes to mount the carb. Mike

I don't need many parts at the moment, but I'd like another 220 U302 engine around or a mid forties one-piece block UTU tractor. Even maybe a set of nine bolt hubs for a U or G. Mostly I just need money (gas money haha) and space.

I think a buffer wheel would help haha. Or maybe five shades darker. You see the FTA & 21-32 pics?

third party image

Here is one I had for a short time. It was 8 feet wide to the outside of each wheel. A narrow one was made too. I may have an original manifold for one, but not quite sure I want to sell till I know the other one on my KTA is good. I can look into it. Any of the newer manifolds should fit from what I'm told. I think the port spacing was like later KEF and 283 engines. Don't quote me on it. LP manifolds are much cleaner looking and hold up quite well, however not original.
