I have a 1951 MM 445 with a Propane tank, hydrostat, external pulley, and five speed transmission. I had this tractor for 30 years now and ir runs awesome.

My Neighbor told me that this was a very rare tractor and is worth $4000. I have never seen another one like this, so I would agree that it is rare. What is it"s value?

You don't see them too often, but not considered "rare" among the MM crowd. I bought a good 4 Star Super (later and rarer successor to the 445) a few years ago in good shape for $2,600, and figured I paid a little too much (but liked the tractor). You're probably looking in the $2,000 range if its in good shape. By hydrostat I'm assuming you mean the two speed, shift-on-the-go lever on the right, call "Ampli-torc". Propane probably doesn't help as far as value is concerned. IMHO.

If it was built in 1951 it is extremly rare I would say maybe the only one!! and way ahead of its time.

1951, probably a ZA, 1956-1959, probably a 445
