We have a jetstar 3 super deisel that is currently being overhauled and I was wondering how many deisels were accutuly built. Ours is an older one with the two tone paint job.

Bob,
There were 711 JS3 diesels built from 1964-1970. If yours is a 2 tone Super then it's probably a 1966 model of which 185 were built that year (28400201-28400385). There were also 20 Orchard diesel JS3 built in 1967 and 50 Industrial diesels built in 1966.

B,
All Jetstar 3 were two tone until 1967 (or so). Sometime in 1967 model year(beginning, middle, end) MM changed to all yellow. Does your JS3 Super diesel have hydrostatic steering or is it power assist? Does it have the "cigar band grill" similar to an M602 or G705/6? My research seems to show that MM didn't use the "Super" nomenclature until 1966 or late 1965. This was when the front end sheet metal changed to look like that of the 1966 and later M670 and G1000. I know that the early U302, M670 and G1000 had the M602 style sheet metal. I assumed the JS3 had the same styling. I'll have to check my sales guides at home to be sure. What's the serial # on your JS3 Sup diesel?
