iv put a 800 in a GVI but will one bolt into a G900 i dont want to tear it down to find it dont fit thanks for any help

There was a small number of HD 800's made with the small bell housing mainly for the A4T. These would work in the 900. I have an A4T with one in it.

An HD800 has the large bellhousing & thus a different bolt pattern than a G900/G1000. It is possible to modify the HD800 to fit but it is a lot of work. The smaller bell pattern needs to be drilled, the starter hole moved, the side of the crankcase ground for clearance of the starter and the hydraulic pump and the rear of the crank bored for the PTO hub. Provisions also need to be made for mounting the front fuel tank support since those holes don't exist.
