Im building a u moline with an offset ground g crank to fit my u rods, 4.81 x 6.125, m 5 short blocks...( welters set up..)I have a rebuilt set of ge 30 e heads and were going to use them but I took a good look at my 4210 heads and decided to rebuild these instead..my question is this...The 4210 heads are shorter than the ge 30 e heads by aprox half inch, is there enough threads on my stock u head bolts to put on the 4210 heads or do i need to thread em down further?? Also what about the pushrods, can i still use the stock ones?? Also have a set of intake and exhaust valves for ge 30 a heads..There longer and bigger than the stock 4210 valves, will they fit and give me much better flow when pulling in div 2 or 3??? thanx steve

You can thread them longer I guess but you will still have to get the shorter bolts for the water jacket. MM did make a kit to change the gas to Lp heads. It consisted of half inch thick washers and spacers for the water jacket. If you don't go with that set up you will still need shorter push rods. As far as the valves go I suppose you could have a machine shop shorten and cut new keeper grooves in the valves you have.
