The timing mark can be hard to see, it takes me awhile to find mine every time. I would mark it with paint to make it easier next time. I believe it is on the outside of flywheel as stated. good luck

Are you looking on the flywheel? Just about every MM I have seen does have timing marks on the flywheel. I don't have a UB, but on a U they can be seen when I remove the clutch hand hole cover on the left side of the bell housing. And on a U the bell housing casting has a point cast into it for a pointer.

Yes I'm looking at the flywheel.I took the cover off the left side.I have turned the flywheel and only find three holes drilled in it to balance it.

It's been a while but I think a UB is actualy on the backside of the flywheel. Just around the corner. From what I remember it was had to find.

Remove the front spark plug, hold your finger over the hole and crank it around until it blows air out the hole. You're trying to put the crank on top Dead Center, where the timing mark should be seen at the inspection cover.

If I recall correctly, it is possible to put the flywheel on in 6 different positons, so if the mark is not there, it could be anywhere around the flywheel.
